School Site Council
The purpose of the School Site Council (SSC) is to
- Ensure that schools identify and implement effective curriculum and instructional practices as well as make categorical funding decisions to assist the schools in meeting the goals for student achievement.
- School Site Councils work with school staff and the principal to revise each school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), a document that all schools must submit to the Board of Education for approval each year.
- Members include, the principal, teachers, a classified staff person and parents/guardians.
